Steve Roberts

Steve spent 12 years as a regular soldier serving with the Royal Military Police in a variety of operational theatres. On leaving the Army in 1987 he joined the Metropolitan Police from which he has recently retired. He has always had an interest in Military history and is now self employed as an historian and researcher specialising in the Great War.

He has been employed by the National Army Museum as an historical interpreter attending events at the museum and around the country. Steve is also one of the founding members and currently chairman of "No Mans Land", a multi-national archaeology group specialising in the battlefields of the Western Front.

The group has been involved in excavations over the past ten years and has also been involved in the production of a number of television programmes on the subject.
