Andrew Wallace - Guide
Andy graduated in History from London University. After 15 years in ‘the City’, he trained to teach History. Andy taught for 17 years, becoming a Vice Principal of a large secondary school, and completing a Masters in Educational Leadership. He has now returned to a deeper study of his passion – History - and wishes to share the exploration and experience with those who visit the battlefields and historic sites. In particular, he is keen to develop understanding of the First & Second World Wars and the Cold War. This keenness was ignited when Andy’s school went on one of Anglia’s first tours!
With fellow Anglia guide Nathalie Harty, Andy co-authored an all-in-one revision and exam practice book, which supports the AQA GCSE 9-1 History topic ‘Conflict and tension between East and West 1945-1972’.
Since February 2019, Andy has been licensed to guide at the Sachsenhausen Memorial.
