Dr Kate Vigurs - Guide
Dr Kate Vigurs joined Anglia Tours early in 2014. She is a professional freelance historian who is an acknowledged specialist in 20th century conflict - especially resistance activity in Occupied Europe, the Holocaust and the Cold War. Kate has first-hand knowledge of living in Berlin at the height of the Cold War.
Kate is the author of ‘Mission France- the true story of the women of Special Operations Executive’ for Yale University Press. She also works as a consultant for various museum projects, including a recent exhibition at the National Memorial Arboretum for the anniversary of D-Day.
Kate runs the historical interpretation company ‘History’s Maid’, producing and performing scripts for English Heritage, the National Army Museum and the Royal Armouries, as well as lecturing on a variety of subjects. She regularly appears on national and local news and radio on a wide variety of topics.
