Volunteer at your local cemetery this November
In November 2018 the Royal British Legion in Suffolk will mark the Centenary of the 1918 Armistice in a unique way. They are going to invite local school children to lay poppies on all of the 1320 war graves* located in the 247 cemeteries across the county.
The event will take place on Thursday 8 November 2018 and there will be a county wide collective act of remembrance at 11:00 hours. The Suffolk RBL are looking for 247 volunteers to act as the cemetery guides who will coordinate the event at a local level. Anyone interested in taking on the role as a cemetery guide should contact Mark Brennan at [email protected] stating their preferred cemetery.
