Alternative destinations for French language Trips

French is currently one of the most popular languages in the school curriculum with over 168,000 pupils sitting French Language GCSEs each year. With this in mind, we've expanded our range of French Language destinations.

Geneva

Geneva offers an exciting alternative destination for schools and at great value. From walking tours and cruises to a trip to the United Nations and a chocolate factory, Geneva has something to suit every class’s requirements. A beautiful city located on the banks of Lake Geneva at the foot of the Alps, students can put their skills to the test whilst visiting some of the thirty museums and galleries presenting a wide array of cultural and historical offerings.

Loire Valley

A trip to the Loire Valley will provide your students with a truly unique experience and is a fantastic option for French language groups; with beautiful towns, engaging visits and historic sites to explore.

Not only this, but the Loire Valley is home to an educational theme park – the only one of its kind in Europe. As well as the perfect opportunity to practice language skills, combining fun and learning, Futuroscope will awaken your pupils’ inquisitive minds and unleash their imaginations and creative talents.

Many groups choose to stay on site or close to Futuroscope and explore the region from here.

What are the benefits of school language trips?

Learning a foreign language and going on foreign language school trips allows students to develop an understanding and appreciation of different cultures, broadening their horizons. Not only this, but language trips help build students confidence when they are able to use their language skills in real-life situations talking to locals. This will also help to see an improvement in their vocabulary range.

As well as encountering different cultures and experiences, students are stretched and challenged whilst enjoying themselves and having fun. Relaxed learning is remembered learning!
